SOS Children's Villages is a non-profit, non-governmental charity for orphans, operating in 134 countries worldwide, including Russia. Its aim is to provide deprived children between the ages of five and seven the opportunity of a stable upbringing, living by rules and traditions of their unique origin. Outside the home, the children attend regular schools and engage in community activities. At present, there are six Russian SOS Children's Villages, with over four hundred orphaned children in total.

This reception was of a charitable nature. The children's artwork is being presented in the hotel lobby and is available to buy until 13th January 2016. All proceeds will be given directly to pupils of SOS Children's Village.
